Black Point update

Additional update...

Izzy!
One of my favorite parts of this trip so far is Rachels bubble bath.  It's a gorgeous lagoon surrounded by rocky cliffs.  You have to hike up a tidal stream to the beach area where it is.  The waves crash over the rocks and fill the lagoon with millions of little bubbles, hence the name "bubble bath!"  When the bubbles fill the lagoon you can't see a thing underwater.  But when it's clear you are surrounded by blue tangs ("Dory's!") and beautiful corals!   We liked it so much we went there three days in a row!

The Staniel Cay area is, in terms of snorkeling and swimming, one of my favorite locations--ranked second to George Town-- so far. It is home of Thunderball Grotto, Rocky Dundas, and Rachel's Bubble Bath (Pig Beach is also here) and could--in my opinion--occupy anyone for days. We visited Rachel's for three days in a row with our friends on S/V Robin. We intended to only stay one extra day to see Rachel's, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay an additional day. On the third day, we intended to go to Rocky Dundas, however, it was a complete disappointment, as the tide was to low to actually snorkel; so we decided to go (You guessed it!) to Rachel's bubble bath once more. In the Bahamas, you really don't have any schedule, and everything is last-minute decided by the weather or tides or something else.  I love it!
This is where we anchored the dinghy to access the bubblebath

Perhaps a bit random, but we have to mention that the carrots are MASSIVE here!

Lynn here: We have been hanging out in Black Point today with our friends on Robin, Sandflea and dorenavent.  The kids did arts and crafts behind the laundry while Brad holed up at Scorpios restaurant drinking beer and writing our last blog entry so I'm sure it was interesting. Aymeric, the tres adorable petit garcon, did a pee pee on the potty for a popsicle, so we all got to celebrate with him.  Izzy and I split a pint of Breyers Strawberry ice cream!  It was so delicious. Now we have caught up with Brad at the restaurant and I have been told to come in quick and write something.  I will also mention that it is approaching dinnertime and we are hungry!!! Time to load up Bailita (our dinghy) and cook.

"I'm at Black Point.  I'm here playing outside a bar.  We had a pet shark named Toothy that came to our boat every night.  I met two cute babies- Aymeric and Sadie.  I miss you all.  This bar is neat."

Our Pet at Compass Cay.. came by every night to check in and see if we had some scraps!
